Wonderland

I took a lot of pictures today and they will be filtering in on days when it isn't possible for me to take anything more interesting than my shoe. Don't want to bore you with things like that when I have great shots like these.

I love this. Looks like a path to a fantasy land.

Another Fall Stroll With Kirra

I know you are starting to see a pattern, but when the weather is nice, I try to be outside as much as possible. Today it was another 3 hours or so. I went for a walk with my friend and her dog and we found a really pretty area that reminded us of home. Tomorrow I will take my camera along for that walk. Today, this is what you get....

More Fall Colors

Yup, I'm cheating a little. Today was a busy day and I had a bunch of cool pics left over from yesterday so here you go :)

This tree stood out among all the yellow leaves. That and the fact that a walkway was cut out of it makes it pretty unique.

Finally, summer arrives...IN SEPTEMBER

So, FINALLY we got summer today. Kirra and I spent about 3 hours at the dog park, playing in the river and hiking around. I suppose I was making up for lack of sun over the summer. There were a lot of people out and a surprising number of cameras. I had mine with me for about an hour, then it went into the car while we jogged around and played in the river. One of these days I'll get a shot of Kirra flaked out on the couch after a great day like today.

No idea what kind of berries these are, but I really liked the color contrast in this shot.

Another one with great colors. I think it is cool how all the different colors can be around at the same time. Or, as I heard on the radio "the leaves are confused as to what they are supposed to be doing, falling, growing, changing color....cause the weather can't make up it's mind either."

Fall

I was a horrible person yesterday and didn't post anything so I'm making up for it today :) I've got 3 to share. I took Kirra out for awhile and this time I watched the bugs around me. I got stung on Friday, twice. She is pretty good when I ask her to pose for a picture. This time I only got a shot or two off before she saw something to chase in the bush.
I think I have this set up now so that anyone can comment on my posts, so please do.



This is one of my favorite types of pictures to take. I love the contrast of colors when the leaves change.

I'm going to have to figure out how to take pictures when I am out running. I need a strap or something for my camera so I don't have to carry it in my hand. Keys, leash and camera gets to be a handful.

I picked up this football at a garage sale and knew Kirra would love it. Sure enough, she took it from me and promptly took it outside to play. Even she knows you shouldn't play with footballs in the house. We then went on an hour and a half walk to the dog park and along the water. It was so pretty. Some day when I'm not out to jog and get exercise I'll take my camera along. I think that will be a double picture day though. You've been warned.

Let Me Out!

I was out walking with my dog, and was drawn to every brightly colored leaf in the area. It resulted in way more pictures than I planned on taking. I think one of the biggest challenges I am going to have is narrowing down some days to just one picture.
This one gave me flash backs of time spent in Quebec. I think the west needs to import some nicely colored trees to make our Fall less dingy looking.

I know this isn't a picture I took today, but with the weather we have had here in the last...4 months it could have been. It's late and I'm just getting this started. I'll be more on the ball soon.
