2 for 1

SATURDAY OCT 30

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

I had to dress up for work and was able to borrow this from a lady from other work. I felt like a teddy bear :)

A walk in the park

Kirra was a little rat, but the trip to the park was sunny so I still had a good time.

Today in 2 pictures.

This is what happens when the fire department is not notified that your building is having a fire drill. Oops. Oh well, at was a decent day, and the break was refreshing :)

Driving back from a Costco/Walmart date with my sister, I saw not just one or two, but several SWARMS of birds. It was kinda creepy. I tried to capture it, but the picture doesn't really do it justice.

The snow is gone again...for now.

Kirra threatened to climb this. It is a wall about 9 feet tall. She likes to jump and climb, but thank goodness she thought better of it. I was a little disappointed with this picture though, once I got home and saw it on my computer. I should have had the rock in focus...grrr. Maybe I'll go back and shoot it again.

Waiting....

After making her wait for me to get the picture I was looking for, Vik took the treat and gave it to her. She still didn't move or take it, even though it was on her lips, until she was told to "go free." She shocks me sometimes.

Warmth

Nothing warms my house like vanilla smelling candles. I love it.

Supper

Yum, Homemade Mac & Cheese for supper. Add some mushrooms and you've got a winner.

You think I made enough? This is what was left over. I did this intentionally though. Freezer meals for us to take to work. Me when I am lazy, and he takes a cooler full when he is gone for long periods of time.

The Wall

I know, I missed yesterday. In my defense by the time I would have been able to post something, it would have been today anyway. So, I am going to use one of my multiple posts...say, the one from the day before...as a freebe.

BUG!

I took this one last night as I was heading for bed. It wasn't quite today, but I'd say it was close enough. Not bad for a night shot in the middle of a city.

This charming little creature was waiting for me under the leaves of the plants I destroyed yesterday. I had another bag to fill and as I was doing so, I saw movement. I am just glad I didn't pick the little sucker up....YUCK He wasn't really cooperative so this is the best shot I got before he scampered away under the fence.

Clean up

After going for our daily run, I still managed to have some energy so I attacked the overgrown and dead plants that reside at the side of the house. I thought I latched the gate so Kirra wouldn't get out, but somehow she snuck up behind me and laid down. As I was creating that pile of leaves at the top of the picture, Kirra laid there and let me bury her. When I moved onto the walkway, she moved too, but not far. I thought she might take off, but she was to tired to even look at people as they walked past the house.

A job that I really hate trying to do solo is bagging anything. Lawn clippings, Leaves, Dried plants....doesn't matter. It sucks with only two hands. Until I McGivered up and used a plant stand to hold the bag so I didn' t have to. Worked great. A little clean up left to do tomorrow and my yard is ready for snow. Good thing winter has held off so we can enjoy summer and catch up on our yard work.
Sorry...no "pretty" pictures today.

My accomplishment for the evening.

It took me awhile to get this picture cause usually as soon as I lay down in front of her, she moves. She kept moving closer to me so I would pet her.

This was my big job for the night. I have to much clothes, and not enough places to put it, so usually it lives in the laundry room.

Come to think of it, maybe I should have done a before and after picture. Oh well. This way you guys think I'm neat and organized :)
And, no, it's not just in a box or pile behind me as I take these pictures. I worked so hard on this tonight, that I didn't come up with anything better to take pictures of. It is actually this clean. Can't promise it will stay this clean for long, so you'll have to come see for yourself soon.Watching me work on it made Kirra tired. The hour long run might have something to do with it too.

Farmers Market

A rare random weekend...few hour...visit with all three of us in the same place.

What is October without a visit to a pumpkin patch? Even if the pumpkin patch you visit is set out in the parking lot on cement. I'll take what I can get.

The Project

It's amazing how an activity as simple as a repetitive action done with a hook and yarn can help fend off loneliness. 2 1/4 panels down, 15 3/4 to go. I will get this blanket done one day...I promise. LY...MY

SNOW!

I wonder how long I have to live here before I get used to the 20 degree change over night. This picture was taken less than 24 hours after yesterday's post. Now, just a few hours later, the sun is out and all the snow is gone...for now.

"Hiding"

The night I decided to get a picture of Kirra exhausted and sleepy...she wasn't all that sleepy. But she kept smacking herself in the face with her tail, and it was cute.

"Painting with photography"

I know this is a double post of a shot from a few days ago...BUT, it's not really. This is a combo of three pictures I took, and blended them together. I think it turned out pretty good since all the pictures I took were hand held and I had to guess if they were in the same position or not. I'm pretty happy with the result.

Thankgiving from a dog's perspective.

Ever wonder what a dog sees while they wait for turkey to fall off the counter? This is it. She sat below dad's feet and waited....and was repeatedly rewarded for her patience. Dad spoils her.

Thanksgiving weekend 1

The perks of being home with other photographers.
I actually get to be in a picture or two.

Another "summer" day

Attack of the giant puffball!!!!

Managed to convince this grasshopper to pose for his close up.

What are you looking at Kirra?

Ah, yes. The Geese. That makes sense. Kirra always loves to chance birds/ducks/geese....pretty much anything that moves away from her.

Why is October nicer than July?

Another walk with Kirra. 21 degrees and sunny....In October.

This is the ultimate point and shoot. Stuck the camera under the tree and shot.
